The Roseman University Library is excited to announce that the Henderson campus has received a Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grant for Soundproof Study Pods through the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS). This grant, valued at over $24,000, funded the installation of two state-of-the-art soundproof study pods, greatly enhancing the library’s facilities.
The primary goal of this grant is to improve the availability of quality study spaces, a need expressed by our students in the 2023 Student Services Survey. These soundproof study pods will provide students, faculty, and staff with private spaces for studying, attending virtual meetings, and creating video recordings. The addition of these pods aligns with the Library’s vision to be a dynamic hub of knowledge, innovation, and collaboration that serves as an indispensable source of inspiration for healthcare professionals.
Securing this grant was a collaborative effort. The Roseman University Library staff played a crucial role in the application process, with assistance from Drew Ehlert, Roseman’s Director of Grants Administration. Their combined efforts have resulted in a meaningful upgrade to our library facilities, demonstrating the University’s dedication to responding to student needs and enhancing the learning environment.
The soundproof study pods were installed on Thursday, August 22nd.
